I hunted black bear in East Tennessee and Ontario, Canada with Plott Hounds...The happiest I’ve ever seen Plotts was when they were on a bear and about to tree it...

Florida Fish and Wildlife says bears can be avoided by keeping any food inside and securely stored. This is such BS. Why do we, as humans, have to modify OUR behavior to avoid confrontations with bears?

The Pitbull mix protected his family and property by chasing the black bear away.
My Pit has backed off all wild life from our property for the last six years. He has never been an attack dog others think the breed is. I do feel protected. And NO ONE gets close to my wife without his supervision. A truly great dog.
