I agree. Good for them to try and make some money... but I see the chain going bankrupt within 3 years, once the novelty wears off. Not enough women want to travel and pay to ogle during daytime meals, not enough bachelorette parties will come without dancing and loud music, and not enough gay men to support a restaurant chain.

Further the gay men won't extra-tip the straight waiters as much, the women won't extra-tip the gay waiters as much, and even if the food is superlative, holding a reputation that is sure to keep most families and straight men away removes 80 percent of your potential customer base. You're instantly a niche market, and that niche isn't big enough, nor does that niche have a reputation for trying to pay for it. Women and gay men do not have to flash money to get flirtatious sexual interest. Middle aged businessmen can and do.

I agree it might be bankrupt in 3 years, however if the food is good, sports on tv and let it know that all is welcome, who knows...it might succeed. As I said this morning, we are going to Hooters for dinner before the Stanley Cup game. The Hooters is a block from Amalie Arena.
