I blew up and cropped...the image of the logo on the awning... of the building flying the flags across the way.

I uploaded said image to a server and then “asked” the google image matcher to find another image. that matched .....to see to whom the logo belonged to thinking that that might be one way to determine where this incident occured.

i got no useful matches at all

I'd bet it was some liberal enclave here in the U.S. I only say that because I don't think the Europeons (yes, I spelled it wrong on purpose) have very many full-sized, four-door pick 'em up trucks there (behind and to the right of the statue).
