Dusty Springfield and Petula Clark were contemporaries of Shirley Bassey.They were ALL great, and they could all SING. Each lady had her own instantly-recognizable sound. Most of the current crop of singers sound the same to me.
Bassey sure can belt out a song....
......like Judy Garland-—although Judy has no peer.
Only Judy had that poignant tear in her amazing voice.
