From Wikipedia...
All citizens were allowed to enter and even foreigners were welcomed: the English writer Arthur Young joined the club in this manner on 18 January 1790. Jacobin Club meetings soon became a place for radical and rousing oratory that pushed for republicanism, widespread education, universal suffrage, separation of church and state, and other reforms.
The French Revolution versus an armed society... No comparison.
American Christians won’t go quietly into the night with commie atheist/lefty christian haters. It is not what we believe Jesus would do just like He would not name Caesar’s taxes, alms for the poor.
Christian lefties are a small minority of Christians in the US and atheists are even smaller.
History repeats.
I read it, it was a good analysis of future
‘too many of his followers have preached hatred, discrimination even war all in his name.
Please, what on earth is he talking about? Has hatred become a buzzword? Is he not aware 100 million Christians are today subjected to persecution by those that hate Christians? Rather shouldn’t he be railing about the prevalent hatred that exist throughout evil humanity and wars are caused by politicians not Christians. Frankly I buy what Christ said I am the way, the truth and the life, no one cometh to the Father but by me, and he said
Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself, All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.
That was a new one for me, thanks!
