I thought Hunter S. Thompson’s book on the Hell’s Angels was actually very good-but he and Tom Wolfe both sometimes wrote in that stream-of-consciousness style, which has never made any sense to me at all. I think Ray Bradbury’s descriptive writing is much better-I can feel the dust, smell the bees, etc.

Hells Angels was very good. Fear and Loathing was LOL funny.

Though familiarity with some of his...’streams of consciousness’ might have helped with the hilarity...
