No its real. Check out this new computer chip that NASA, Google and Lockheed Martin has put on the F-35 jets. It does 9 million calculations a second. That’s not even 1/1000 of a single percent of the new chip power.
The quantum chip. Compared to an iPad Air which has up to 1 billion Transistors (think of each transistor as doing a single job). The Quantum chip is 2 to the 300th power of the 1 Billion transistor chip.
Here is another way to look at it. If microchips kept doubling ever 12 months, aka Moore’s law, how many years would it take to get to the 1st Quantum chip? The answer is over 6000 years. That is the great leap we are about to take and why guys like Ray Kurzweil (M.I.T. grad and Google Director of Engineers) is saying.
Anyhow here is who has the first generation Quantum Chip from D Wave. The F-35 has a quantum chip. NASA and Google have it too. It’s still in its infant stages. It should be released to the public in 9 years.
It will change the world. Much like electricity did and like the silicon chip.
