Really not sure that this is the path for the future though. Much too slow for gaming, much too limited for most except for the minimal internet user. Does have some applications but not so much for the masses.
At the late stage, nothing I would invest in especially since the millennials are going much smaller and more portable.

If there were really $9 computers I might buy 10 of them and ship them to a school in a poor country. That might be a game-changer for some kids.

some people having critically analyzed the Chip also claim that having a complete computer while on the go may well lead to a rise in notorious mentality among individuals.Too late. I already have notorious mentality.

That was the idea behind
One Laptop Per Child.
Of course, OLPC included a keyboard and monitor. But Chip just the next iteration of this trend.
Then again, I was a backer BEFORE it made funding, somewhere around the 150th or so supporter (grin)

Sure could as long as you provide monitor, keyboard, case, power supply, mouse, etc. Extended cost about $400.00.
Now if this could fit into an Apple Pad, then you’ve got something.

Exactly, and that would be a good deal! Just not for most users.

Rasberry Pi already has a huge segment of the market. It can emulate a lot of the old cartridge games and even has a simple version of Minecraft. I bought one for my son.

I’m posting this on a Raspberry Pi 2 system that cost $100 to assemble from new retail parts for everything but the monitor.
The LCD VGA monitor was a $75 obsolete piece from a local computer shop.
A wholesaler could put this entire system together with monitor for about $100.

Yes, you are right. Was just speculating about future applications I guess... The capabilities and cost just had me salivating a bit. Eventually, this kind of announcement will apply to almost all of the market - I’m just waiting with anticipation I guess...ha.
