Official OTR blog of "The Big Broadcast" thread:
Happy Mother’s Day! Thanks Mom.
But no Mother’s Day shows? Can’t remember seeing a lineup with such a mix of new shows....Roy Roger is almost never played...never heard of Tom Mix, Strange Dr. Weird (a GREAT name), or On a Note of Triumph...will be interesting...
How are things going?
I liked the King Biscuit Flower Hour.
It's a VE Day lineup! All the shows after "Gunsmoke" aired on VE Day. And, the "Johnny Dollar" looks to be very interesting. On May 8, 1945, the VE Day radio converage was massive. Here, the RadioGOLDINdex lists many of the broadcasts that aired that day: VE Day Broadcasts

What you up to?
You got it.
Hi, Vision! We’re just doing the usual Sunday stuff and enjoying our new patio cover that was built this week. It’s excellent, so nice! We spend a lot of time out back, and having it covered will make a huge difference for the kitties, too—shade in the summer sun and shelter in the rain.
How about you? Did you have a good time on your business trip?
Yes, I remember that radio show and liked it, too. This stuff is a tad older than that. :-)
Yeah baby! V-E Day!
YES! :-D
Life is good. St. Louis went well. Got to eat at Pappy’s which is a famous bbq joint around there.
Unfortunately this is a diet weekend so no fun cooking.
Well, at least you ate good in St. Louis.
Yes, we can put the Green Egg under the patio cover if it rains, but we’ll leave it outside it in nice weather, so it doesn’t collect smoke up under it where we sit.
“Those are pretty high stakes.”
“We gave up the kids games long ago.”
Gunsmoke!
Yep! :-)
