Do you mean that Carolina Reaper was the hottest (2.5 Million scovil units)for only a year ?
Are you buying seed or plants ?
Last I knew , Carolina Reaper from seed required 3 weeks at 72- 92 F ,just to germinate.

The breeder of 'Jigsaw' claims that it is hotter than Reaper, but Guinness only runs tests on an annual basis...until Jigsaw is tested and verified; Reaper is still champ.

I grow everything from seed...most of my 'super-hots' germinated within two weeks on a heat mat at 86-88 degrees. They have been ubder the lights since germinating in late February. My young plants are gorgeous...they will be outside in their containers come May 20-21, as we 'plant by the signs'.
