My son just turned 20. He's a smart, good-looking college student. He has never dated anyone seriously.

We have an open father-son relationship, and he's talked about it to me.

From his point of view, way too many of the girls are skanky. Why does he want to be in a "relationship" with a girl who has screwed half the guys he knows? Or has sex photos on other guys' phones?

And, to be honest, his opinion is "Why limit myself?"

I won't pretend my own past is error-free, but casual hook-ups are shockingly easy for young men today. He and I have had many discussions about STDs and the moral impact of indiscriminate sexual behavior.

But, he's 20, and the pickings are easy. Too easy.

“But, he’s 20, and the pickings are easy. Too easy.”

I believe there was a movie called, “Earth Girls Are Easy.”

Your 20 year old son must have met my 19 year old son. The response is almost exact but my son added, “hook up mentality is the downfall of my generation”. He further explained that the lack of morality with HIS group of peers will probably eliminate marriage. My son has also said that you “can’t turn a wh@re into a housewife”. I listened with an open mind and all I can say is I pray for his generation.
