I love the rain. I had to get up to enjoy it.
Now if the lights stay on...
Good thing I've got the emergency power going on.

We're just starting (and need badly) a long, gentle soaker that will last, off and on, most of the week. We have 2 "new" 7,000W (continuous, not surge) generators, and an old 5,000 W. We also have a UPS for the computer, and another for the DVR & TV; also a rechargeable LED flashlight that plugs in, and turns on if the power fails.
The old one was used a lot in Oregon, until we finally convinced the power company that we really were building a home.
The "new" ones are nearly 20 years old, but one is still in the shipping carton, and the other one was used for the first time 4 years ago, when we lost power for nearly a week from a forest fire. I also used it last year to run the electric log splitter on the back & beyond the garden.
We bought the new ones because we were constantly losing power for up to an hour or so in Oregon, with the lines running next to pavement, or buried; and the location here is much more remote, with the line mostly through heavy woods, and much severer weather---but we rarely lose power.
