Baltimore police hand report on Gray death to prosecutor
ap ^ | 4-30-2015 | AMANDA LEE MYERS and DAVID DISHNEAU

Gray was arrested after he made eye contact with an officer and ran. Officers chased him down and handcuffed him behind his back. Bystander videos recorded police loading him, dragging his legs, into one of two metal compartments in the back of the van.

Police earlier said the van stopped once so that officers could put Gray in "leg irons" because he had become "irate;" stopped again because the driver asked for an additional unit to check on Gray's condition, and then again to put an additional prisoner in the van's other compartment before arriving at the station.

Now police are saying an additional stop was made before the driver asked officers to check on his condition. They said nothing about this stop other than its location — at what appears to be a desolate intersection with three vacant lots and a corner store. Last week, Batts had said the second prisoner told investigators the driver did not speed, make sudden stops or "drive erratically" during the trip, and that Gray was "was still moving around, that he was kicking and making noises" up until the van arrived at the police station.

Mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake sought to dispel any notion that the police report would bring a swift and public conclusion to the case. "Whatever time the state's attorney's office needs to make that determination, the family wants to get it right," she said Wednesday after meeting with Gray's family and legal team.

"This family wants justice and they want justice that comes at the right time and not too soon," said Hassan Murphy, one of the family's lawyers.

Meanwhile, protests over Gray's death spread Wednesday night to other cities including Boston, New York and Washington, making it clear that tensions over the case are far from subsiding.

They need to protect this second passenger before someone snuffs him out.

Yes, it probably isn’t all that difficult for an investigative individual to find out who was arrested around the same time as Gray.

[T]he second prisoner told investigators that Gray was "was still moving around, that he was kicking and making noises" up until the van arrived at the police station.

So what happened at the police station -- that severed Gray's spine?

Its going to be a long hot summer. Ferals aren’t protesting about anything, they aren’t really rioting for justice, they are out to loot in the guise of protest. Back in the early 50’s Bill Boatner, an American General at Kohgedo (sp?) PW camp used nausea gas on the rioters. Some begged to be shot. Let the rioters have a taste of it, they’ll go home.

This family wants justice...

...and we can't let the facts get in the way of that.

Black lives matter, ya know, much more than silly things like facts.

Unless the black is killed by an illegal alien. Then there is little or no reaction.

So what happened at the police station -- that severed Gray's spine?

I think it happened at the takedown. Knee to the back when he was already on the ground. Full weight of the cop - crack. On the arrest video they had to hold him up, his legs were already paralyzed.

So two levels of atrocity - first breaking his spine, second denying immediate medical care and aggravating the broken spine by lifting and then dragging him around by his paralyzed legs.

Politics aside, this is just some seriously inhuman-level of sh!t.

I’m curious if you have any proof to back up anything you have said?

How do you know what the precise nature of his injuries are, because as I understand it, the only place any description of his injuries have originated from is his family’s attorney?

And regarding the video of him being placed in the van, how do you know his legs weren’t moving simply because he didn’t want to move them?

Do you think that it is possible he was resisting being placed in the van by remaining in a position that made it difficult to place him in the van?

I ask you this question, because it is surprising to me how quickly people jump to conclusions with little to no actual facts.

I’m wondering if Gray’s spine could have been compromised by the lead poisoning, since that type of poisoning causes damage to the central nervous system.

Has the information ever been released by officials that his spine was severed or has that only been stated by the familiy’s attorney?

As far as I know that information has only been provided by the family’s attorney.

There has been very little official information on this matter.

In this case (and others recently in the news) justice translates into revenge or a large pay day for the family of the victim.

For others it's a chance to destroy property and get free stuff.

“An investigation into the death of Baltimore resident Freddie Gray has found no evidence that his fatal injuries were caused during the videotaped arrest and interaction with police officers, according to multiple law enforcement sources.”

“Sources said the medical examiner found Gray’s catastrophic injury was caused when he slammed into the back of the police transport van, apparently breaking his neck; a head injury he sustained matches a bolt in the back of the van.”

In the original video (without the CNN logo) it was apparent that Gray’s neck was broken when the cop on the left lifted Gray’s head back upright from where it had been hanging over his back. I don’t understand how the guy was still alive after that!

It was in the first few seconds of the original video when they picked him up. He then fell forward and they had to pick him up again. It is from the second time they lifted him that the CNN video starts.

If you can find the original you’ll see, but apparently it’s been removed from YouTube.

The only thing that's clear is that the professional agitators are still in operation and will be until Obama either finishes his term or goes to prison.

Because we are loaded with Democrats that want it all for free. The last week is a good example of how not to stop a riot.
