I agree with you 100% about the negative stereotypes portrayed in television shows and movies in regards to Vietnam vets.

Even one of the “Dirty Harry” movies had a serial-killer Vietnam vet.

These negative portrayals have bugged me for years.....I thought it was insulting, but Hollywood is controlled by liberals.

Back in the 70s, you couldn't read a newspaper without seeing a story like - "Ex-Marine, VN Vet Robs local Bank."
Last year, my local TV news ran a story about a guy stopped for DUI. Police also discovered he hadn't renewed his driver's license since 1969.
The reporter set it up like this - "John Smith of Rochester, a Vietnam veteran ..."
Forty five years after he returned from 'Nam, his service and sacrifice were still portrayed as criminal acts.
