Churches in America: Prepare to Be Treated Like 1st Century Christians in Rome
The Christian Post ^ | 4/24/2015 | WALLACE HENLEY

The United States Supreme Court may soon liberate the biblically conservative church from old "prejudices" that should have long ago been "jettisoned," forcing it into "rightly bowing to the enlightenments of modernity," in the words of a recent writer in The New York Times.

Homosexuality must be removed from the "sin list" and, according to an MSNBC commentator, traditional marriage proponents must be forced "to do things they don't want to do." Sadly, this crusade will be like the Marxist "liberation" movements that promised to "free" people, but really were about control and suppression.

The culmination may come as the Supreme Court hears oral arguments on same-sex marriage cases beginning April 28. By July 1 the Court possibly will issue an official ruling regarding the constitutional right to homosexual marriage. The Court's decision may impact the form of biblically based churches dramatically. Churches that hold to a strict and conservative interpretation of the Bible's teaching about gender and marriage may find themselves "Romanized"...

>> “The states are already outlawing unapproved meetings in residential houses. Bible studies have been targeted the last few years.” <<

Undeniable, just like in China.

But we have the big guy on our side. If we get beheaded for preaching his name and his gospel, we win, instantly.

Daniel, Shadrach, Meshak, Abnednego, all won, remember?

How about Haman? - Who got to ride the “tree” he erected?

Even if the state outlaws it, so what? We should do it anyway.

Drive outside the city limits and find a barn if we need to.

The church needs a good cleansing. It needs a time of trial.... a time to separate the wheat from the chafe. The time is due, and the time is coming....

There are good churches. Granted, they are few and far between, but they are out there for those who love truth. They will remain until they are taken out of the way in the Rapture...the gates of hell will not prevail.

Sure...in a way I think it is already happening. All churches that champion homosexuality, abortion, progressivism are being bundled for destruction...

I agree with you.... but I think churches that accept homosexuality, abortion, progressiveness... these are symptoms of the disease. Not the disease. The disease is these churches are filled with tares. With persons who don’t truly know Christ. They’re filled with gossip, lies, class envy, pharisees, hypocrisy, and unrepentant sin. These lead to the symptoms you described.

Jeremiah 23...it starts with the pastors. If they will not stand up to false teachers, the church will be full of tares.

Tares and money changers. Think about it.... who would donate money to an organization where 85 to 90 percent of the donations went to administrative overhead? But that’s what we have with most mega churches in this country.

....”The church needs a good cleansing. It needs a time of trial.... a time to separate the wheat from the chafe. The time is due, and the time is coming....”....

That's already happening as the liberal/social members take over from the inside in many of them. Unless you clear them out early they multiply like rabbits until they take over.

My family members went thru that....so they spit and opened a new church...once that was paid for the Pastor announced his allegiance to the church they had just left..and the board had already been “planted” to go along.

It was a devastating blow after all the members had been thru separating and building their own.....they all scattered then.

And it is this ‘scattering’ , like was with Israel, that is happening TO the body of believers. Jesus said this would come and we're seeing it happening.

Yep.... I’ve seen it so many times before. People come into a church and they have a big tithe. They are fast tracked to leadership roles. For so many churches it becomes about the money. The pastors reconcile it that they need the funds to grow the ministry. To better carry out God’s will etc etc. But it often comes down to ego. In today’s churches, maybe the most often over looked text from the bible is James’ teaching about not giving the best seat to the most important person. Churches most often just ignore this teaching. And to often that important person has no real relationship with Christ.

I think the real problem is the church was never intended for non-believers.....we are called to go out ‘from’ the church to those in the world ...and minister to them. People are too quick to invite people into the church rather than minister to them beforehand and prepare them for being with the family.

Pastors and the Elders and Deacons use to do that.....as they saw themselves as overseers of the “flock”.....now it’s just a title. But there was at the very least a pastor visit with people who were coming.

There is no organized corporate ‘church’ that preaches the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. There never has been. Only the congregation at Philadelphia was praised by Yeshua, and as an organized group, they no longer exist, but as scattered individuals they are all over the world.

The “Rapture” is the First resurrection.

That is the event that ends the tribulation of the saints, at the Day of Trumpets. That will remove all of “Israel” as declared throughout the word of God, i.e. The house of Israel and all who sojourn with her.

That begins the outpouring of the wrath of God in the bowl judgements. It lasts for ten days, at which point the armies of the governments of men gather for their assault on Jerusalem, which in total lasts five more days, bringing us to the day of Tabernacles when we that were gathered by Yeshua and his angels at Trumpets return with Yeshua to crush those armies and forever end the Governments of Men, as declared in Revelation, “The governments of men have become the governments of Yehova.”

Lots of bloodshed, but all compressed into a total of 15 days. All told, 42 months of Satan’s attempt to thwart the salvation of Yehova’s elect.

We, the true believers obey only laws that are in keeping with the laws of God.

We do not fear the retribution of the governments of men; their time is close at hand, and they will not last long; those days will be “shortened.”
