All she needs to do is to walk around the block a few times each day and cut out the rice, potatoes, bread and most fruit (not to mention sweets and pastries).
I remember I started out at 210, right out of the hospital for a host of problems that basically ganged up on me (anemia, anxiety, etc.). I started out walking and got rid of just the wheat at first. But as time progressed, I resumed jogging and lifting weights, and dumped breakfast cereal in general. My weight has bounced around some, but it was as low as 180 in the summer of 2012, and it is currently around 185.
That’s wonderful...really an accomplishment.
I know personally that cutting down on the carbs allows me to pretty much eat what I want and not gain weight.
