Germany was nothing like Nazi Germany prior to 1933. I may be young, but I am not naïve enough to take our current freedoms and liberties (what’s left of them) for granted.
As it turns out we’re always just one or two clever Executive Orders away from Obama declaring himself Chancellor.
I sort have chuckle when I see all the hopeful lining up for election in ‘16....when all it would take, is a statement like this....
my fellow Americans, it is with deep regret that I advise you that my CIA, has discovered an appended insurrection to overthrow your elected government during the up coming elections....to prevent this 5th column insurrection...I am postponing the coming election, and I will remain in the White house, to command the Military to combat this sinister threat to our country....to the applause of Democrats and CNN newsroom....
Congress (EXACTLY like the Reichstag) is going to pass an Enabling Act within the next few years.
We (EXACTLY like Germany in 1930) are too divided for an electoral representative system to function. If we don't luck out and get a Pinochet, a National Socialist dictator is what we will get, and within a few years, IMO.
