Tax Day Pingie........
Class is in session...homework on the blackboard, apples on my desk. It’s on.
we lived about 11 miles from my Catholic elementary school, which provided bus service. My bus stop was at least a half mile from my parents house on a rural road. My first day of first grade, when I was 6 yo, my mother wasn’t sure what time the bus came and was there, waiting, but then worried that maybe the bus would come to the OTHER end of that road which was on a different highway, so she drove to that end looking for me. I apparently got off the bus and began trudging home on foot, since I knew the way. My mom drove back to the other end, to find me on my walk home, bawling her head off for not being able to find me, and I was perfectly fine. CONCERNED CITIZENS didn’t call about that kind of thing back then, luckily.
Robert Strange McNamara.
Martinets like marionettes.
A+++ I was a free range kid. I dragged my younger sister along with me. We rode our bikes miles to the nearest city pool every day all summer. We got our own pool when I was in the 6th grade, so I was pretty young. They might not agree with it today, but it’s not illegal.
yes, we lived in the country, so we were all over, gone most of the day with my mom having no idea where we were and no cellphones. it was a diff world.
That you? LOL
Oh, no. Not me. My military career was to be the forgettable, interchangeable, guy in the middle of the group. “The nail that sticks up will get pounded down.”
Sorry, he’s not the ONE for me.
Oh no! A politician may say something he doesn’t mean in order to get elected!
You mean like when Obama said he was a Christian? When he is really not? When he thinks, acts and defends Muslims daily. When he harps at Christians in his snarky whiny way? Like that?
I don’t have a ONE, but I will certainly not be unappeasable and discount electable republicans. Ted Cruz is great, I don’t think he’s electable, he would be great as atty general or on the Sup Ct.
I have opted to try contacts this go around. I will be able to buy over the counter magnifiers, ie those cheapo glasses sold in stores, to read with. I will be able to put on sunglasses again to drive and take walks outside. I am sure someone has some advice for me. Lay it on...
I cannot get whipped up and set on any politician. I have no certainty that we will win with ANY of them, but some of them have better chances than others. The problem I have with the unappeasables is the litmus test they use is great for rightwing conservatives, but that is precisely what will turn off the rest of the voting populace.
I don’t dislike him, but the only one who excites me is Cruz. Bush is off-putting to the max. But, the beauty is I live in NY state....so...”what difference does it make” to quote Hillary.
