Ted Cruz KILLS IT with answer on Second Amendment, background checks, and public opinion
The Right Scoop ^ | 4-14-15

Okay maybe I’m just a little excited here but I think this is a great clip that showcases Ted Cruz’s prowess on the issues, and in this case the Second Amendment, background checks and public opinion versus the Constitution. And he’s not afraid to say why the Second Amendment really exists, and it’s not to go hunting with your pals.

Problem is the voters for Hillary don’t care what she does or says, they will vote for her.

...even if the moderators are stacked against him.

First come the GOP candidates debates. Rules, question selection and phrasing of questions make as much difference as the ideology of the moderators, which will uniformly be either leftist or GOPe supported, regardless the public persona of each moderator.

Don't underestimate the leftist training of these college-trained moderators. It's virtually absolute leftist, or as they like to pretend nowadays...moderate.

He said there are already background checks required for federally licensed firearm dealers but the bill he voted against would be unnecessarily restrictive for two people making a private transaction.

this could EASILY be a campaign logo for Hillary...:) I’d say it, but then I’d be banned for ever

Corrupt?

this is how Ted Cruz answers any “gotcha” question put to him.

there is no other presidential candidate that even comes close to his skill level of articulating constitutional issues and his love for this country and our God-given rights and freedoms. He is like President Reagan - principled and fearless.

President Cruz - nothing else needs to be said.

The powers that be do not want Cruz to win the republican nomination. We are going to see some serious nastiness, lies, distortions, anything to marginalize and minimalize Cruz. From both left and right. At some point they may try to completely ignore him, no coverage, no photos, nothing. They will make it look like he is nonexistent.

They know and are afraid if Cruz wins the nomination, he will win the presidency by a landslide. And in the process, the whole liberal false narrative and house of cards built on sandy soil, along with the msm, will be exposed like the empower with no clothes and come tumbling down.

he says we have background checks when guns are purchased from a licensed dealer.

what his objection is - the federal govt intruding into private sales between two citizens. that should not happen.

Technically, background checks should not happen @ FFL's, either. Show me where, in the 2nd Amendment, it says, "Shall not be infringed, as long as you have a background check". Last I checked, it didn't. Which is why I've always argued that FFL's are partially responsible for the destruction of our 2A rights - they are more than willing to lick the jackboots of almighty FedGov in order to make a fortune off the destruction of our rights. Of course, the rest of the fault lies in us, for CONSENTING to that destruction by submitting to said checks. Free men don't ask permission.

more people are self-identified in America as conservative. there are many more Cruz voters than granny clinton voters.

the key would be turnout. Reagan was able to ride a grassroots wave. Cruz can build the same thing like none of the other candidates.

I'll do that. I'm sure Cruz is on the up and up on the issue, and he still has my vote, begrudgingly. I really hate the "R" next to his name. If he isn't the nominee for the generals, I'll vote 3rd party. If he is (and I believe he will be), he will be the only GOP candidate to get my vote.
