There does seem to be some concern that the deputies may have become dehydrated after their spirited, relentless and ruthless beating of the suspect. It reminds me of the plight of the slaveholder who suffered carpal-tunnel syndrome as a result of a repetitive cracking of the whip motion.
We have to remember that our oppressors suffer as well.
