I have lost my live AMC feed so will have t wait till Tues to see the opener.
I eagerly await...
What is truly remarkable is that one of the Washington six is still secret to this day.
That is serious OPSEC.
You might check the AMC website. Sometimes they will stream full episodes there.
YEAH but they want to know my cable provider and i don’t have one.
I will watch it on XBMC on tues.
Done!
Simcoe is alive and well. They just captured and muzzled him last season to avoid a bloodbath. Not only that, if you look him up in your history book you’ll find out that he got promoted and returned to Britain as a hero in real life. As I remember, he went on to take a command in Canada. :(
Simcoe is fascinating, ruthless smart and I think he has a heart
Indeed he did, a compelling figure in history, hardcore all the way

Just doing my Job... John Graves Simcoe and Paul Revere
What a beautiful mess.

Will there be a live thread on FR tonight?
Here we go....
They changed the actor that plays Robert Rogers!!!
Same actor, Angus Macfadyen. He has no beard this season. He also played Robert the Bruce in Braveheart.
Shaved the beard.
John Graves Simcoe is a bad ass.
An admirable foe.
Holy Cow!
I tink he’s put on a few pounds too perhaps..
Who watched, and what did you think?
The sculptress/spy in George III’s Court surprised me. I have never heard of her before — Patience Lovell Wright — although her demise was not as dramatic as portrayed in Turn. Look her up!
FReep Mail me if you want on, or off, this Revolutionary War ping list.
I didn’t see season one. Please tell me that it wasn’t as bad as that God-awful “Sons of Liberty” on the History Channel.
I thought season 1 was wonderful, although it moves somewhat slow. Season 2 picks up the pace quite a bit.
The costumes, interiors, and photography are wonderful, even though the narrative is not totally accurate. For instance, Anna Strong was quite a few years older than Abraham Woodhull in real life. There is no evidence that they had an affair. Of course, you could say that there is no evidence that they DIDN’T have an affair, either. ;^)
Patience Lovell Wright (seen at the beginning of Season 2) was not shot point blank by the King’s soldiers. She died from complications of a broken leg in 1786. She was a spy, however, who smuggled info to Ben Franklin hidden in her wax busts of famous personages.
Please add me to the ping list. Watched the start of Season 2 last night after the last few episodes of Season 1. They waited TOO long to bring it back. Great program!
You’re on the list!
