We’ve had some nice rain here, and Keith is low-and-slow-smoking some pork ribs. Otherwise, it’s been a fairly normal week and weekend.

Cool. Today was the first mow of the season and about half of the pruning. Did some pork chops and pasta.

My tall fescue lawn went to bed last winter dark green and weed free...and now I've got some lighter spots that seem to be growing faster. Any idea what this? Thought it was sedge but it's not.

Oh, I have no idea, Vision. I’m sure you guys have different weeds up there than we do down here. Did you treat it with preemerge or weed-and-feed?

No preemergents, so I can overseed. Spot treat weeds.

Oh, okay. I forget that up there, you guys can use grass seed, because you lose your lawns to the cold. Down here, our lawns don’t die during the winter. They just go dormant and come back in the Spring.

Oh no, we don't lose our lawns, does that happen in the US?

I overseed so my lawn can look awesome.

Yeah, they do. I have friends in Ohio who say they have to re-do their lawn each year, because of the cold.

With “Obamacare,” I just can’t get into these tax shows. We’re living under tyranny, and the tax tyranny started in 1913.

They're also not funny. If there is a Phil Harris show on taxes it would probably be hilarious. But these are mostly B shows.
