You've hear this song. Not one of Orbison's biggest hits but a great song. and a quintessential 60's love song or love's lost song.

Don't remember that song....Thanks...Nice...
lol...I know a few of those, but not all of them. My top two are In Dreams...gets me EVERY time and She’s a Mystery to Me. Bono couldn’t have written a more lovely song for Roy to sing. Roy’s a fave and I like quite a few, but I definitely don’t know all his stuff.
Thanks for posting this. I’ve always been a big Roy Orbison fan. My favorite, among many great songs, is “It’s Over.” Powerful lyrics, great music, incredible voice.
Ride Away has been used in a commercial lately.
It was from his last album in 1989. Bono and The Edge from U2 wrote the song.
Must be a diff Bono, ‘cause the one I’m referring to was born in 1960. Lead singer of U2.
That’s the song from the Geico “free-range chicken” commercial! I’ve wanted to know what it was.
Oh heck, I know Sonny Bono!
Mystery Girl or She’s a Mystery to Me was done in the 80s. :) It’s #2 on my list of Orbison songs. Really dark and lovely.
I listened to it at home instead of on phone. Sounded better. Enjoyed the beginning...his voice, but something about it I don’t like. The words for one thing. I’m a fan of his so not trying to be a contrarian.
Funny thing...when I was a kid, I didn’t care for Roy at all. Since I’ve grown up I see how much talent he had.
“but something about it I dont like. The words for one thing.”
The words pretty much reflect what was going on in his life at the time. He was really into motorcycles. It wasn’t too long after this that his first wife was killed, when they were riding their motorcycles. They had been divorced and remarried, so who knows what was in his head as he was writing this song?
Interesting that he couldn’t say give a damn back then.
