English police managed to go two full years without killing anybody. In that time period there were a grand total of 7 incidents in which firearms were discharged.
England/Wales has a population of roughly 60M, so 1/5 ours.
If USA cops killed people at the rate English cops did during that two years, we wouldn’t have 2,270 dead Americans, we’d have ... zero dead Americans.
Similar statistics apply for most advanced countries. US cops kill people at a 40x to 100x or higher rate than their’s do.
We can argue about why that is, but the numbers are pretty staggering.
Just watched the raw footage video from the SC shooting. Hasn’t gotten much talk, because it doesn’t fit the narrative. There were two cops present, or at least the second cop showed up seconds after the shooting. He was black.
I don’t think we have all that much of a cop racism problem. I think we have a cops killing people problem.

If you listen to “the narrative,” it’s remarkably obvious that none of the media or activists give a flying **** about people killed by cops unless they’re black or “hispanic.”
Same with “lynchings.” Nobody cares at all about the rather large number of white people who were lynched.
AND you will never read about the several cases where a Klan member came to the defense of a blackman being accused wrongly. I know of at least such case, of my grandfather, a Green robe klansman (those familiar with the Klan will recognize the reference) from Northern Virginia. But the case is not as rare as the left and NAACP would have you believe.
Every death is a loss, and the majority of police are good people doing a hard job, but many cops shoot too quickly, too often and often even the 'good' cops lie to defend their own.
Yes, many of the victims are criminals, but we don't need cops playing executioner--especially over a traffic ticket or a missed child support payment. There is, or should be, a difference between a traffic stop and a swat team taking out a bank robber. Excessive force is excessive force. Does anyone here think this poor bastard's children are better off with their dad dead in the street?
All you cheerleaders are wonderful, when does it become too much for you? When they gun down that bakery owner for not baking the cake for a homosexual charade? How about when your retired veteran neighbor lies dead on his front lawn because he had an 'arsenal' in his basement? When your daughter is killed because she refused to submit to a cavity search at a random stop? Go team!
It is hard to believe we do not keep track. We do need to know how many police are killed and how many citizens and others that they kill and correlate with demographics and by crimes too. These statistics need tracked. We citizens are paying a lot for protection and the question needs answered and tracked - are we getting our money’s worth, or paying too much?
It is also important to evaluate the numbers of armed government agents (from local police, state police, DEA, EPA, Border agents, etc.) and how much they cost. They get to retire early with good pensions.
There was a time when they carried a 38S revolver and were called peace officers. Now they look more like military assault teams. When I was growing up and until more recently we didn’t have nearly this number of police. Every politician wants to add another 100,000. Why?
Maybe we need to look at the liberal immigration and demographic connections and policies. The demand for ever cheaper labor might be part of it too.

Equally relevant question: How many didn't deserve it? As Rush was heard to say, Our justice system is predicated on the philosophy that it is better to allow 100 guilty go free than to convict a single innocent.
Do those who are murdered by cops become justified by those who deserved it?
