"Where's my Hassenpfeffer?"

This bunny, who holds the Guinness World Record for world's longest rabbit, is partying like an animal today because... it's his birthday!
Darius, a 4-feet-long continental rabbit, turns 5 today, his owner Annette Edwards, 63, of England, told ABC News today.
"I'm probably going to let him have extra nice carrot treats," Edwards said. "He just loves the carrots with the yummy green tops."
Edwards also takes care of Darius' son named Jeff. He's only a year old, but he's already 3-feet-8-inches long, and Edwards thinks Jeff could outgrow Darius.
"I spend over 5,000 euros for the both of them every year," Edwards said. "That covers everything to take care of them -- bedding, apples, carrots, cabbage, hay and rabbit mix."
And though these giant bunnies do hop, she said they're much more like dogs than rabbits.
"They are potty trained," Edwards said. "They're very friendly and tame, they follow you around like dogs and they like to play ball. Both of them respond to their names, and they sit when I tell them to."
Edwards added she sometimes seats Jeff and Darius at the dining table, and they can put their front paws on the table and eat.

I was thinking more in the lines of LaVerne and SHIRLEY!!! Hello....Listen to the music!!!
Larger rabbit do tend to be high maint.
They aren’t fast like the smaller ones, they are heavier, and eat ALOT more.
They also need constant chiro checkups as rabbit spines are easily knocked out of place.
So Darius needs his back checked often to make certain he isn’t crippling himself.
(Rabbits will do that through normal activity, doc has this kind of rubber bumper syringe to nudge normal rabbit vertebrae back into place. Dunno about Darius there.)
Fascinating. We’ve never kept rabbits.
Larger rabbits have differences, I’m not certain where those lay as I have more experience dealing with the vastly tinier types.
But I bet they do have to keep an eye on that big guys back.
Wonder if they are as laid back as I have been told.
It seems like a rabbit that size would have devote most of its energy to digesting its food in order to keep its heart going.
Or devote more time foraging for higher energy plant materials, like nectar laden flowers and a good portion of ornamental plants.
Thankfully, being domestic, he wouldn’t have to worry about that much.
He probably steals dog kibble if the owner also has a dog.
(Most rabbits love the stuff.)
