it was never intended to be biblicly accurate...it was more of a historical version of what happened written by neutral observers....not those interested in Christ's religious aspect....I thought that it was very well done, probably quite accurate from that point of view, VERY well cast and certainly didn't harm Christianity in any way
Don’t kid yourself. It wasn’t even historically accurate. There is plenty of contemporary non biblical evidence of Jesus existence and that he was a miracle worker. When you omit that you presenting a fictional version of Jesus. A Jesus who wasn’t sure who he was or what he was supposed to do. A guy who went around saying some unconventional things but otherwise offering no real reason to accept him as the Messiah. That guy wasn’t someone who would inspire his followers to give up their lives to proclaim the gospel
