If you believe in the truth of scripture, don’t bother watching this. It is almost entirely a work of fiction.
Modern day progressives would like to see traditional Christianity destroyed, and will use sophisticated mass media methods to do so.
manwhile MSNBC continues to circle the drain. The Lame Stream Media is clueless as to what American want.
“chronicled the events leading up to death of the Jesus Christ.”
rewrote the events leading up to death of the Jesus Christ. (and with very bad beards!)
There, now I fixed it.
I watched it last night, since I had nothing much better to do sitting in my motel room with a cold. It was a decent presentation of the life and death of Jesus. Yes there was fictionalized language and events, but there is that even in “The Greatest Story Ever Told” movie. For a ‘secular/historical’ account, it is worth watching more than the anti=Christian specials on CNN.
However I’m not going to read O’R’s book.
Did Cruz make his ad buy on the Nat’l Geo? Didn’t this also run on Fox?
Anyone know?
Watched it, was not impressed at all. It could not hold a candle to the Passion.
Looks as if he followed “John” for the book and never even considered the rest.
>>retelling of the gospel stories by two conservative Catholics, one of whom, O’Reilly, believes that he was inspired to write the book by the Holy Ghost.
What did the Holy Spirit tell him? “Bill, I need you to retell the gospel and leave me out of it. Its OK if you rearrange things and add stuff and leave out important things. Just make sure that it fits with the Koran version, mm’kay?”
It stunk IMO and hubbys too. Could not watch it all.
I like Don Rickles as Christ, Al Franken as Pilate, Foster Brooks as Herod, and Dolly Parton as Mary Magdalen.
I guess casting a Muslim as the founder of Christianity is a popular notion these days. Apparently Chrislam is the new religion of the times.
The lead role (Jesus) is played by a muslim.......and he was very, very, good!!!!!
