Word For The Day, Thursday, April 2, 2015-- via dolorosa
In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of "Word for the Day".
via dolorosa [dol-uh-roh-suh, doh-luh-]
noun
1. (initial capital letters) Christ's route to Golgotha.
2. a trying, painful, or sorrowful course or series of experiences.
Origin: Latin via dolōrōsa literally, sorrowful road
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.
nothing contradictory? is she prolife? and she votes for Dem candidates? loved Bubba?
She is pro-life, yes. Never once strayed and condemns adultery. She said the Republicans were harassing Bubba for an indiscretion that has nothing to do with his presidency. RME When I tell her things, she does not believe them, because she never heard them on the alphabet networks. She believes it’s OK to vote dem, because abortion is the settled law of the land and neither party will ever change it. I have to admit she is right on that last point. The old school media have her right where they want her. Her husband was a diehard Republican to the end. Even sat on the city council for years as a Republican.
Got to go, they shut off my water for the next few hours so I am going out for a salad for lunch.
Thanks!
I do as well, but the whole national dialogue will change with a new president....I hope and pray.
Today?
Any way is “good enough” on the via-de-la-rosa
But the road to hell is always paved with good intentions. And flowers.
And is always downhill.
It’s the road to heaven is uphill. Rocky. And filled with toll booths.

I’m glad you made it back. Glad for all of us!
At the firm from which I recently retired after nearly 30 years, they had (have?) a wonderful Receptionist named Dolores a warm, elderly Christian lady who was a pleasure to work with & talk to.
As far as I knew, no one whether employee or client had anything but positive experiences dealing “through her” ...
