Should President Barack Obama just shake it off?
Taylor Swift ranked sixth on Fortune Magazines second annual list of the worlds 50 greatest leaderspeople who are transforming business, government, philanthropy, and so much more. But the president was omitted entirely from the list.
Fortune Editor Alan Murray explained why: I voted for Barack Obama in 2008 largely because of his call to unite blue states and red states behind a politics of hope. But it hasnt happened. At home our politics are as dividedand our federal government is as dysfunctionalas they were when he took office.

So next time give your vote to someone even farther to the left, you nitwit.
My Border Collie has better leadership qualities than Obama.
Never mind Ms. Swift, she’ll do fine for herself . What is not getting mentioned is that Mike Duggan, Mayor of Detroit, Michigan made the list at #20.
I was wondering when a FRriend would post this story. I am not excited about Tim Cook pulling number one spot. For a quick look at the list, go here:

Abroad, the record is worse. Many wise foreign-policy analysts believe the Presidents public waffling on Syria not only fed the terrorism of the Islamic State, but also emboldened thugs around the worldnotably Vladimir Putin. The President has dismissed their criticism by saying he is less concerned about style points. But when it comes to leadership, style matters. Why Obama isnt on Fortunes Worlds Greatest Leaders list
In his book On Becoming a Leader, the late Warren Bennis said the differences between leaders and managers are the differences between those who master the context and those who surrender to it. Its a good distinction. Faced with difficult circumstances, President Obama has surrendered.
And incidentally, Taylor’s a lot less vindictive toward her enemies.
Thanks! I needed a laugh tonight. :)
I read her profile. I still don’t see how Taylor Swift is a great “leader”.
Perhaps she provides a good example, and she seems like a shrewd businesswoman. But it isn’t what I consider leadership.
I guess you could extrapolate her influence over teen and preteen girls as evidence of leadership, but then the Elvis and the Beatles would have to have been considered great leaders by that measure.
What a dope. And this guy is an adult -- not some mopey college kid!
But Taylor Swift had the Best NOT Screwing America world view of ALL TIME!
Myself, I knew Ubama was trouble before he even walked it.
They recognize that rather than being a leader, Obama is Soros’ puppet.
Gotta say, Ms Swift would be a far better President than the current one.
I believe we are much more divided than in 2008.
Obama has turbocharged the engines of racial and class warfare. Which was no surprise to us here at FR, because we understood his 20 year training program in the Chicago Mob.
I’d vote for Taylor! At least she knows how to run a business!
To the best of my knowledge she's never called in an airstrike on anyone!

You are a naive, gullible jackass!
