In China, soldiers zoomed up to me and said COME in English. They marched me into a concrete room, pointed at my suitcase, said XRAY SHOW SOMETHING then OPEN OPEN OPEN (did I mentin they all had guns out?)
So I did and they found my 230-120 volt adapter, put it back, said CLOSE then ok! And they smiled and I was on my way to Xian with only minor shock. That was rude but typical of Chinese efficiency.
The crushed lock at Denver was relatively OK.
