.223? Well I guess 5.56 is good then.

As an ex soldier, I say 5.56mm sucks. 7.62mm is far superior, and with the right weapon you can achieve almost zero recoil and great accuracy and range with far superior stopping power.

My 77 Ruger chambered for .223 with a 3 x 9 Leupold is death to ground squirrels out on the ranch.

My brother-in-law is all in for 5.56, and he killed a lot of Muzzies in Bush’s wars. You know what they say about brother-in-laws? Well, I don’t either, but he seems to know what he’s talking about.

Shooters of 30-06 and .270 are generally happier than other people. Scientific fact.

I’m not saying they don’t work, I’m simply saying 7.62mm is far superior and I have ten years and three tours so I also know what I’m about.

Especially if that .30-06 comes out of an M1 Garand.

IMO this guy is being a revisionist douche bag by taking a 2015 view on many 1950-1960 cartridges that have taken more game than he ever will.
Just about everything he mentioned will still put meat in the freezer.
To: Blood of Tyrants
The .223 is a very useful cartridge and so is the .300 Weatherby Magnum.
I agree with the other 3 tho.

Yeah, everybody’s gotta be mad about something these days, right? Nifty little piece. Thanks for posting. And it didn’t stop me loving my 220 Sweet.

Did you shoot the M14 then? Wasn’t that a great rifle?

The FN. M-14 was American. I’m ex Canadian infantry. We did use the C-7 too, which was a modified M-16, and it’s a pea shooter. I always opted for the 12 gauge over that thing in close environments or the C-9 which you would call a SAW.
