Might want to reserve judgment on this one. He says he was attacked by a group, and he appears to have injuries that back up his story.

There may be a gang-turf angle to this one.

The arrested man, Shelby Crawford, was on probation in connection with "a juvenile gun case" when he was hired by the CPS to be a "Safe Passage worker."

The school he was protecting serves sixth- and seventh-graders. The girl who was shot was 17, and was not a student at the school that employed him.

why would they hire someone who has a "juvenile gun case" against them?....and for all we know the "juvenile gun case" could be shooting someone like those ferals that killed the guy walking his dog in Philly....

but alas, all is forgiven and forgotten when it comes to certain segments, those who will not be named..
