BOSTON — Call it an extreme case of road rage.

A MBTA bus passenger got into a fight with a driver and spat on her. The driver retaliated by hitting the passenger over the head with a wooden block, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's office.

Both driver and passenger were supposed to end up in court on Thursday, but the passenger never showed.

"The Dec. 20 spat – literally..." Ugh.

And oh, the joys of public transportation.

She had a bus to run, and no time for nonsense. The guy didn’t show up because he knows the Judge will bean him, too. And so will the bunky at the hooskow.

Passenger went against the driver’s grain.

There’s really no reason to bark at a bus driver. Sounds like the passenger had a chip on his shoulder and was just being a sap. He should’ve maintained a wider kerf between himself and the driver. Maybe next time he’ll check his emotions before he becomes a splinter in the driver’s side.

When the judge finally gets a hold of him, the passenger will be pining for his freedom. But, it probably won’t be as bad as the old days at sea when the captain would make a knot head like this walk the plank

For a story published in the December 27, 1999 issue of Sports Illustrated, Rocker made a number of allegations stemming from his experiences in New York City and answering a question about whether he would ever play for the New York Yankees or the New York Mets.

I’d retire first. It’s the most hectic, nerve-racking city. Imagine having to take the 7 Train to the ballpark looking like you’re riding through Beirut next to some kid with purple hair, next to some queer with AIDS, right next to some dude who just got out of jail for the fourth time, right next to some 20-year-old mom with four kids. It’s depressing... The biggest thing I don’t like about New York are the foreigners. You can walk an entire block in Times Square and not hear anybody speaking English. Asians and Koreans and Vietnamese and Indians and Russians and Spanish people and everything up there. How the hell did they get in this country?

Did he ever return? No, he never returned, and his fate is still unlearned.
