“The start time for the race is now set for 6:55 a.m., when a temperature of 64 degrees with a humidity of 40% in downtown Los Angeles is expected. By the time the first runners make it to Santa Monica likely between noon and 1 p.m. the temperature is expected to have reached 80 degrees.”
Hmm, slow marathoners like me finish in 4-5 hours. Faster ones under 3 hours.
80 isn’t that hot anyway.
I ran San Francisco in 2013; it was close to 80 when we got towards the finish line in the Mission District.
What’s the air quality like in LA these days?
I remember going to race driving school there back in the 70s and we had to stop in the afternoon because our lungs were burning like crazy.
