Yep.

There’s a huge difference between a Horror flick and a thriller.

I grew up with all the “Jason” movies etc, but none compare to a classic like “Gaslight” (1944).

The Shining, Jaws, Jurassic Park are my scariest films.

Exorcist, I actually had trouble sleeping after that. Nightmare on Elm Street, the first one, also good.

The old black and white stuff has an artistic advantage, it’s naturally more creepy. Nosferatu and Vampyr contain some of the most unsettling imagery.

“the Tenant” by Roman Polanski. Scariest film I’ve ever seen. I do go in for creepy any more but that is a powerful one.
