You’d also be rich. I know a lawyer that went after an SD for wrongful termination after they did nothing about assaults on teachers at the school. Teacher bought PS and ended up having to use it in self-defense. Cops called it a good shoot, and moreover indicated that without it the teacher would likely have endured grievous bodily harm.

SD fired him. He sued, got the damages and his job back.

Union did NOTHING for him. They are still collecting the dues from him, however.

Interesting post. But I wonder if the lawsuit was more about an unsafe work environment than the pepper spray. Because if pepper spray is on the school's prohibited list, then it would seem to me that the school can fire anyone who has it. Sort of like a pizza deliver guy carrying an unauthorized firearm.
