I agree that I had a friend back in the day who paid alimony to his wife for the rest of her life because she was an alcoholic and he could afford it; so his goal was to keep her from scrounging off their two sons and messing up their lives. God bless him for thinking that way. And like I said, he could afford it — but he worked very hard for it, too.
What a nice guy-—I hope his sons appreciated it,although with a nice Dad like that I’m sure they had great values.
