And you do, as far as ultimate credit-back policy is concerned. However with credit card you have option to “not pay that bill” while a transaction is up in the air. With debit it’s gone till then. So do be careful on your max transaction limits.
Good point.. true. These days the purpose of my main checking account is pretty much just to support the debit card... I pay bills out of other accounts and I generally only keep a couple hundred dollars in the checking account at a time in order to minimize exposure.
