I think Hal Lindsey, The Late Great Planet Earth, was the most historically prophetic book I have read, at least regarding the events that will unfold in the Middle East, which ties in with the anti-christ. In the early 80’s he said the AC had already been born, but then again, so did Jeanne Dixon, who actually disclosed a dream that she had, saying that he had been born in February, 1962 and was of Middle Eastern descent.
In Daniel 11:40 and 41 we see the king of the north wipe out the king of the south. Iran is the king of the south, along with the nations allied with Iran. The seventh resurrection of the holy roman empire is the king of the north. Charlemagne rides again.

1. People have been speculating for ages who the anti Christ is/was/will be. The is obvious that most speculation is/was/will be wrong.
2. It is written that false prophets in the last days will deceive even the very elect. This makes me think that the AC will not be someone that can be spotted from a thousand miles out as the 'big bad guy.' Thus, it will probably be someone that MOST people on FR will support, not some Obama or Turkish president.

there are many “anti Christs”, from Nero to Hitler to Stalin etc. So we are due for another “anti christ”, but not necessarily THE anti christ.
They all have the same meme: they are worshipped as gods and if you don’t agree, they kill you. They target especially Christians, but also Jews and other believers.
Prophecy says he will be born of a Muslim or Jewish mother, but will be a “man of peace” and beloved of all.
We usually think of Nero etc. but Diocletian and Hadrian, whose terrible persecutions are often overlooked in history books because they were “great” men of culture and dignity and who brought peace to the Roman empire, are closer to what the anti Christ will look like.
