That reminds me of one of the many funny things I saw during my long tenure in a big city ER: the city's ambulance service brings in an older black gentleman (but this certainly could have happened with any race).He didn't appear to be in any distress on arrival so this all happened in a fairly "relaxed" fashion.The charge nurse took "report" from the EMT (the EMTs were told by the man that he had trouble seeing) and then she approached the stretcher."What brings you here today,sir?" she asked.In kind of a southern accent he replied "I've got Oldsmobiles in my eyes"."Oldsmobiles?" she said,puzzled.After a quick pause she said "do you mean cataracts?"...."yah,yah,yah...I knew it was one of them cars" was the reply.
