But I agree, they are pushing the tolerance thing a lot.

I think that is part of their strategy to make Rick and the others comfortable with the weirdness and get them off guard and not recognize danger.

More likely AMC getting cred from the fed for pushing “gay tolerance” in the far-right conservative / survivalist demographic.

The federal government in the past has given TV stations credit for putting its desired messages as content in a script instead of giving up air time.

Reference: FCC Warns TV Networks on Crediting Anti-Drug Messages; Federal regulators say viewers were misled about an advertising scheme and shows should have listed the government as a sponsor.
December 28, 2000|JUBE SHIVER Jr.

Even liberals then were concerned. Example:

“The thought of the federal government reviewing and inserting anti-drug messages into scripts of some of America’s most popular TV shows totally freaks me out. For the government to use television so subversively to spread messages sets a dangerous precedent. What’s to prevent a conservative White House in the future from spreading anti-choice or anti-gay messages through the same medium?”

So now we see pro-gay messages in “The Walking Dead” to the screeching delight on the left of the “youngest gay kiss ever” of two 13 year olds on a different show.
In the same week or so.

The irony is that the liberals watch out for fascism on the right while ignoring it rising in their own party.

Liberals are the fascists that they accuse the conservatives of being.

make Rick and the others comfortable with the weirdnessI don't think so. First when Diana was totally opposed to Sasha posting guard in the watch tower, second was when she freaked out as Sasha when Sasha freaked out saying this place isn't real..........

And then dinner and a cocktail party in the middle of a zombie apocalypse?

Diana is in total denial of what the world has become and she will do anything to preserve her little oasis in the fantasy world she has created......

As a side note, did she just banish Sasha from the town when she handed Sasha a box of shells and sent her out the gate?
