The alpha types Can be all strut and no (or only maybe one) fruck. Either way, the quieter betas tend to be far more loyal - increasing the chances for long term relationships

Females evolved to use the betas for shelter, food and a shoulder to cry on “long term”. They can see a beta as a “friend” but not someone whose seed they want. They crave the alpha genes subconsciously. It is the most optimal program for breeding humans:
Females get alpha genes AND a caretaker.
Alpha males their genes passed down through multiple females.
Beta males get slowly eliminated from the gene pool while they contribute to raising the alpha’s children.
