Stuff from bloggers, like Crowder, help keep the lights on. While he may or may not contribute financially directly, he does bring people to join Free republic, to which a few do contribute.
If Crowder left, those who contribute because of Crowder’s contribution, might leave as well.
I make donations, when I do, because Free Republic is a good source for other people's material and not for the rare piece of original content presented here, I don't make contributions when I get so fed up by arses like you that I lose all desire to contribute.
