Waging war is necessary, but it can be done in an inhumane way. So it's not pacificist to curb what is inhumane in war.
Respect human life is higher than just winning. Otherwise winning isn't justice. It's survival of the strongest. That's the barbarism I'm referring to. You can read about it Thucydides.

Yet, he went through the motions for US citizenship. From my notes:
July 19, 2008 - Tamerlan and Mama have been in America for the required 5 years so are eligible for US citizenship. Tamerlan gets legal permanent residency. At some point Mama gets US naturalization.
April 2009 - Tamerlan's boxing magazine article. Wants to represent US in Olympics and become naturalized US citizen although he doesn’t have any friends and doesn’t understand Americans.
2010 - Golden Gloves of America changed rules to ban non-US citizens at Tournament of Champions level.
Sept 5, 2012 – Tamerlan applies for US citizenship which is delayed because of closed FBI investigation but Congressman William Keating (D-Mass.) claims it’s because of the old domestic abuse case.
Sept 11, 2012 - Dzhokhar gets US citizenship seven months before the bombing.
He should have been put in general population at the prison. His fellow inmates would have saved us the trial.
