Years ago, date rape was difficult to impossible to prove in court under the best of circumstances. A typical defense including shaming and blaming the victim in the court of public opinion. CSI and law needed time to catch up with criminal abuse of pharmaceutical technology.

So the main battleground today for the Cosby takedown is the court of public opinion.

IMHO, it is like taking down a hyena with spears. One spear is not enough, and one hunter alone is not enough. The hunters need to stab the hyena with many spears. And the hunters need to choose the best time. Immediately-right-now might not be a strategic option.

It seems fitting that Cosby is finally on the receiving end of the blows in the court of public opinion. Cosby chose to move the battleground there. It is there that he needs to make a final stand or surrender.

It is difficult to pity an animal who knows no better. But Cosby is not an animal. Cosby should have known better than to move the battleground to a place in which he could eventually be weakened. Why have any pity for Cosby? Cosby is the master of his destiny. His personal choices led him to this PR killing field. Let him succumb there.

I have no pity for Cosby and as stated he’s probably 100% guilty and will probably get away with it.

If he’s blackmailed out of society and never heard from again.. what does he care, he’s rich and old.
