Yikes! It sounds like you have a heck of a beta hound. If we could mix mine and yours, we would likely have a wonderfully middle of the road hound!
What kind of Coon Hound did you adopt? I have an American English coon hound. Have you studied the history of the breed?

Dogs exist in an entirely separate and superior plane of moral, spiritual, and cosmic existential plane of conceptual continuity to humans.
Witness your own dog and the freak show in D.C. and on the tube.
This guy is just a writer in search of a topic. :)

He is half coon hound and half basset hound is all we know. He certainly is a beta but he growls all of the time. He would be great as a singleton in a household full of children as he doesn't get along with our other four dogs but loves people.
He is a sweet dog but not good in the car as he barfs before the car is even started.
Here is a pic of him.

He looks to have some Plott hound in him. You should check out these 2 sources:

http://coonhoundgazette.com/index.html
Check out the history and you might have a new sense of pride in your Coon Hound! My hound’s breed was first introduced by George Washington!

The current trend is tacks or nails hidden within meat and cheese placed in dog parks.
I can only think of one uniformly evil group of suspects.

That is disgusting! I’d wager only the disgusting vermin would do such disgusting actions!

The merciful part of me advises Googling for this stuff.
It’s pretty bad and spreading rapidly.

This just in: dogs are not people. Also, dogs can not tell time.
Otherwise, its amazing how accurately a dog knows, usually within minutes, it is meal time.
No matter, dogs are great!

Most animals fail at the red dot mirror task. Maybe because not all of them can see color?
