The Clintons closed Griffiss because Oneida County usually goes Republican during Presidential elections. We still have Norad, and we still get military planes landing every now and then, but it’s now mostly a business park.

A whole month? Ive become such a home body Id hate to be gone that long.Me too. Many times, I just stay at home and Freep, or watch hockey games on NHL Game Center 😄 At the moment, however, excuse me while I go preach to people of a different religious persuasion, if you understand what I mean. 😆😇

I lived in Ithaca from 9 years old to 13 years old and it was mighty cold in the 60s. The cold and snow were GREAT as a kid. But after I got out of college, I hightailed it to California.
Mrs POF and I hiked The Pinnacles National Park today up to the High Peaks. Wonderful day after the storm yesterday -- reached about 60 and crystal clear air, but we were sweating like crazy during the 1,300 climb up to the peaks.
It was such a great day I wanted so share some of this pics of the hike and this seems like a perfect thread...

"I spent the day at the beach, two blocks away from my house. 😄😃👍🔥😅 The hot weather takes the energy right out of us. 😂☀️" Oh, yeah, rub it in while it snows here!

Sleet yesterday all afternoon. Bad driving when temps hover near or just below freezing. No CBMC Monday breakfast fellowship last week or today. Actually, these days this weather is better for me than super-hot and humid like it gets here in mid-June to September. I like my old home-state weather better, but not their politics anymore.
Keep cool, pal.

Ouch. Maybe that is why they closed Griffis and Plattsburgh, but strangely enough left Grand Forks and Minot open. It was so hot (90 degrees) and humid yesterday, that I spent the day at the beach, two blocks away from my house. 😄😃👍🔥😅 The hot weather takes the energy right out of us. Place a fan in your window facing NE!
