There must have been a time when art class meant art history, studying the Masters, knowing the difference between Impressionism, Cubism, Modernism, Classical, et al., the biographies of the artists ... and not simply smoking dope and slapping paint on a canvas.

Right? Have we sunk that low?

Life has become a bad 70’s movie.

Can I get an evening wine tasting class that’s late enough that the kids will be in bed when I get dropped off at home?

I worked with a guy in college who said that he could write amazing symphony compositions while stoned. He hired a string quartet to play through one of his pieces. Chaos and embarrassment.

H3ll, let em try LSD. Since we're making drugs legal, why mess around?

Darwin can help us cull the herd.

Somehow a screengrab of the CNN webpage with the bad painting (which included no syndicate attribute) was “verbotten” on FR.

The girl in the article's painting was more on this skill level.

Paul Strand would've taken issue with calling those students "artists". Artistry is reserved for mastery of a skill, not merely those pushing a brush around or pushing a button on a camera. Without applying a critical appraisal, the term becomes meaningless.

What's he trying to do, accidentally create something that sells?
I hope that's his hobby.

The whole “Tune in Drop and out” culture is alive and well.

Today’s pot is nothing like what was around in the 70’s.

The potency has gone through the roof.

LSD is old news for many because they can’t trust the trip.

The new thing is “DMT”, it’s old but also new again as people continue to search for truth.

Now they can also be on government welfare programs and ObamaCare and be artists like Nancy Pelosi told them.

There is so much to painting that only those who have studied art realize what makes a good painting. There are elements of art and design plus principles. It is really interesting.

I hated Picasso until I learned that he was a Jew and lived during a great time of persecution (his village was destroyed by German and Italian bombs when he was a kid) so then I understood my reaction to his work and how he used the elements and principles to express his pain.

Seriously, look into DMT. I know guys that are obsessed with its effects.

It’s crazy I know, but their impression is to embrace a certain universality of their soul. It’s basically Buddhism when you break it down.

Personally, I have nothing against this being their first step toward enlightenment as long as they continue on their journey.

If they do continue they will recognize the flaws and failures of Buddhism and will have no choice but to accept Jesus Christ as their Savior.

There are a lot of folks that have absolutely no clue about 0bamacare or even know who Pelosi is.

A lot of people.

They are liberals and if they even bother to vote, would vote Dem. because they have absolutely no clue what is going on and have formed their beliefs from a few minutes of CNN or John Stewart.
