Yaelle, as both a cancer survivor and a healthcare professional, I believe I am correct in saying that your post is somewhat misleading. Immuno-oncology is an exciting new field, and while consideration for one's immune system can be one approach, it's not only about the immune system. The immune system has to be triggered by drugs to build additional antibodies that target the specific cancer.

While it's good to have and promote a healthy immune system, no one can predict what cancer they may or may not get in the future. It's quite possible that an immuno-therapy might work for some cancers but not for others.

Please do not promote "cures" or offer hope to would-be patients without scientific proof.

...healthcare professional....

Beg pardon, but the OP is NOT being misleading. I read the post & comments.

The tone of your comment and your background leave me suspect of your agenda. But that's Ok; you have your own opinion, too.

One of our acquaintences is a stage 4 breast cancer survivor. She used the Gerson method and it completely cured her. No chemo. No “standard” cancer treatments at all. It actually angered a couple of doctors and they warn her it could “come back”. Yeah, and when is that NOT true? :-)

Meanwhile, going on 5 years...

I am not promoting cures. Specifically for cancer patients, it is ESSENTIAL to know that your gut biome as it is today might have a LOT to say about how the rest of your CANCER treatment goes. Isn’t that an important thing to know?? Believe me, I would never offer false hope to my FRiends in the trenches fighting. But this could lead patients and their families to do more research about the gut and its influence on both the disease and the treatment. More info never hurts.

Which "scientific proofs" ? The ones that have been later proven false?

Pease do not tell us what to present in this forum based solely on what you claim to be the only thing to consider because that is your opinion. If it is not yet clear to you there are other opinions here than yours and we are able to think for ourselves without being told by you what to think!

I detest your claim that there are bribes between doctors and pharmaceutical companies.

I detest your gullibility, when addressing this life and death topic with such flippant remarks. If not for researching certain pharmaceutical drugs that were in fact poison and were being pushed as the only treatment for a disease someone I love would be dead now instead of alive.
