The Japanese do some weird things.
The idea might have been a mus-interpretation and someone meant something entirely different than “cat”...
Tell me about it, I am a geek and into their culture a bit but even I see weird stuff from them a lot, and more so when I was in Japan for a couple of months, working on a project.
